Kolby,

I'm honored and delighted to have you as a reader of my blog. I hope that as you make decisions about affiliation with a national organization, you will consider the accessible currency issue for it so gets to the heart of the differences in philosophy and practice. Until 2002, when ACB filed its law suit concerning accessible currency, NFB had on its records a resolution to support the same. In 2002, just after our suit was filed, the NFB passed a resolution opposing the concept. Apparently, it is more important to work with big business who will donate a million dollars to their cause ensuring NFB support of this machine or that, or to file suit because Target's web site is not accessible, or to occasionaly raise and beat the dead horse of access to emergency row seating on aircraft than it is to ensure that the basic joe or jill blind person has access to the knowledge of the denomination of paper money in the wallet. NFB may have the bucks and the flash, but have they the real true concern for the rank and file blind person? Not that I can see.
